49th Annual Eagle River Antique Show & Sale - 2009
This antique show is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Eagle River. All the proceeds from this show, including all the fees collected at the door, are used by the Rotary Club for their special community projects. This show is the longest running antique show in the Northwood’s and the ONLY antique show up north entirely benefiting a service club’s community projects. The Rotary Club’s projects this year include the DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION & CLOCK PROJECT at the old railroad depot. In addition, yearly, the Club sponsors two $500 scholarships for seniors at Northland Pines HS and sends 2 girls annually to Badger Girls State. They also support the Northwood’s Children’s Museum, sponsor a “Warm the Children” winter project, and support an ongoing Rotary Youth Exchange Program. The Rotary Club is a GREEN organization that supports their local community. In the spirit of preserving our planet, their sponsoring of an antique show and the antique show supporting the Rotary Club projects really makes a lot of common sense. Buying antiques and collectibles is one of the best ways to foster your support both for a wonderful organization and helps to save our planet. Every antique you rescue, preserve and recycle is one less item that needs to be made new or that will be imported to sell. Buy antiques and GO GREEN! What could be a better way to recycle and help keep our carbon footprint at a minimum? Exhibitors for the show are professional antiques dealers (and recyclers) from the Northern Wisconsin Antique Dealers Association along with select guest dealers. The Rotary Club and NWADA are working once again in partnership to provide a unique and quality antiques show that has become a successful, anticipated summer event! Many of the top antique dealers in the state of Wisconsin will be bringing quality antiques that they have saved special just for this show. An excellent selection of antique furniture in a wide variety of woods and styles will be available. You can also expect to find fine antique and vintage costume jewelry; sterling silver and silver plated flatware and serving pieces; brass and copper; pewter; Majolica; ironstone; Flow Blue; art pottery; elegant, depression & kitchen glassware; kitchen collectibles; decorative lodge-look items; sports items; decoys; art; children’s toys & collectibles; vintage textiles; art glass; and small primitives at this show. There is something for everyone in every price range! Mary Lou’s Crystal Repair will also be in attendance again this year to mend damaged crystal, china, porcelain, or pottery for you while you shop…..do not buy it new when she can fix it instead! THINK GREEN! Mark your calendar now! Come out and show your support for a great community organization and join the GREEN MOVEMENT….buy an antique and become a top notch recycler! The show also has free parking & GOOD FOOD available. For questions or additional information call (920)960-0755.
